02 Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to manage your reservation, formalize the rental agreement, and provide you with a secure service:
Identification data
- Full name, date of birth, and nationality.
- Driver's license number and identity document or passport.
Contact data
- Phone, email, address, and the hotel where you are staying during your trip.
Reservation and payment data
- Rental dates, selected vehicle, and flight information when applicable.
- Your credit or debit card details. This information is captured and processed directly by our payment gateway under industry security standards; El Anillo Rent Car does not store your full card numbers.
Vehicle location data
- Our vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking devices for security and fleet protection. The use of this data is described in Section 5.
Browsing data
- When you visit our website, we may record your IP address, browser, and pages visited through cookies, in accordance with Section 6.
03 Purpose of Processing
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- To manage and confirm your reservation and to formalize the rental agreement.
- To process payments, security deposits, and, where applicable, charges for damages or fines.
- To coordinate vehicle delivery and return and to assist you during the rental.
- To comply with legal, tax, and security obligations (including the issuance of tax receipts).
- To ensure fleet security and prevent improper use of the vehicle.
- To send you commercial communications or offers, only when you have authorized us to do so.
04 Consent and Legal Basis
By providing us with your data to complete a reservation or agreement, you consent to its processing for the purposes described herein. Processing is based on the performance of the rental agreement, compliance with legal obligations and, for marketing purposes, on your express consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
05 GPS Vehicle Tracking
For reasons of security, theft prevention, and protection of our assets, our vehicles are equipped with tracking devices. This information is used responsibly and proportionately, and is accessed only in legitimate situations such as security verification, theft recovery, or when required by a competent authority. We do not use this data to monitor the customer beyond these purposes, in accordance with Law No. 172-13.

07 Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share information only when necessary to provide the service or when required by law, with:
- Our payment gateway, to securely process card transactions.
- Our insurer, for the management of coverage and claims when applicable.
- Competent authorities (DIGESETT, the Public Prosecutor's Office, or others), when there is a legal requirement or an investigation that warrants it.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described and the applicable legal and tax obligations. Once these periods have elapsed, the information is securely deleted or anonymized.

In accordance with Law No. 172-13, you have the right to:

- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request the cancellation or deletion of your data when appropriate.
- Object to the processing of your data for marketing purposes.
